.Hack//Kyat

.Hack//Kyat, other known as .hack//chat to some, was an online chat site that was formed around the .hack// series. The site was created using the technology of Metagate X, allowing the player to create a character using paint as a basic program, and use that character, also known as an avatar, or avi for short, to talk to other players. The site was created bac in 2003, but mainly became known in 2004. The areas that the person could access depended on codes used at the chaos gates. These codes used combination like 223 for an area. To do these codes, a series of question marks, or japanese symbols, would appear and the player had to select certain ones as the code, so the second one down twice, then the third one down would be 223. After the .hack// games came out, the site got an upgrade to fit it, and once again once that G.U. games came out. Within the G.U. area, players used the chaos gates to moce around to town. Sadly, on April 30th, 2008, .hack//kyat closed down with a message from the creator saying how it was all fun. After this, players tried creating their own version of the site using Metagate Personal, and the most effective on was from a player known as SC. The users enjoyed this site, but only 20 out of nearly 200 people stayed. After a few months, SC was alerted by the creator of the old kyat to stop using it's name as a come back may be coming, which he then told everyone. Up until this day, there has been no sign of a comeback, but SC still updates his site when ever he can for events, in hope to bring back the old players. It is rumoured that he is now recreating everything to be the way it was when it first came out, but with a new option of an area where you fought 'Skeith' the in the first games to navigate between the areas.
